In addition to his specific coaching and competition experience, Jon has a solid knowledge of rackets sports evidenced by the development of his own label "Rycroft squash and tennis rackets", He has also commentated for Asia TV at some major tennis events, and, was the Taiwan national coach.
He successfully mentors other coaches as part of their coaching accreditation and exams, organises and runs tournaments, events, camps, and clinics.
He has played County Tennis and Squash (and still plays in the Veterans Squash Team for Devon) and reached the National Finals of Racketball.

Tennis
Jonathan’s long tennis career has taken him all over world, bringing with it experience of coaching in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and America. Along the way he has coached all levels of player, from beginners to nationally ranked juniors, whilst also setting up a number of world tour exhibition matches.
In his role at Victoria Park Tennis Club, Exeter, Jonathan oversees the entire coaching programme. An LTA Level 4, CCA and PTR assistant coach, he is also able to coach groups and individuals of all ages and abilities.

Squash
Jon is a Level 4 Elite Professional Squash Coach (England Squash and Racketball), and coaches at Exeter University and the Devon and Exeter Squash and Racketball Club.
He was the Taiwan National coach and trained the Men's and Ladies teams for the East Asian Squash Games in Japan, Philippines and Singapore.
Jons approach to coaching and training was endorsed when the Dubai National Sports Council appointed him to lead a group of 12 top ranked U.A.E. players to Florida, USA on a 2 month coaching programme and competitive tour.
